You & I (LADY GAGA)
The Lady Gaga shoot for You & I was certainly one of the more interesting and challenging of my career. This was one of the hottest summers on record in Nebraska and this made what was going to be a tough task into a sweltering 2 weeks of pure hell.
Finding what would become our ice cream truck was hard enough... driving to the set at 6 am without working gauges was another thing. By the time Gaga is handed her ice cream, the temperature was over 100. Needless to say it didn't last too long and not even our coolers were a match for the heat. Our entire stock of ice cream was melted beyond recognition with 90 minutes.
The chair in which Gaga is experimented upon was cobbled together from a vintage chaise lounger. Her leather shackles were made by my friend Damon Smith. The back up shackles and chair still reside in his garage.
